Just wanted to remind Laura's friends & family that you can leave comments after each post, it makes for a fun "scrapbook" for the baby!

Appointment Updates!

Okay, so as most of you know I (Kendra) update the sight for Laura....and I've been a little lazy (okay, a lot)....so this is my chance to play catch-up! :-)

Laura has had several recent appointments (as I'm sure you're all aware).

Wednesday, February 28th:
~ Baby Lohnes had a heart rate of 158 (which had us speculating...is "it" a girl?!) And this Aunt says..."oh please, oh please!!!"....

Tuesday, March 20th:
~ Laura made an appointment after staying home from work for the 2nd day in a row. And, unfortunately, this is where my details get a little foggy.... Laura's blood pressure was VERY elevated, she was put in a room to relax (not much help when you realize something is wrong) and after checking her blood pressure multiple times, receiving a back massage, and seeing ALL 3 DOCTORS, her blood pressure only budged a wee little bit. She was then put on a mild blood pressure medication and was instructed to stay home from work for the rest of the week. Now, anyone else would be happy to stay home for a week (or, at least I would)...but not Laura...on Wednesday I took a personal day from work and called her at 8 in the morning, Laura practically begged me to come out and visit stating "I'm so bored!!". Gotta love that girl!

Friday, March 23rd:
~ Laura popped back into the doctor's office at 11:00 today, as instructed, to see a nurse for a blood pressure check. Her blood pressure was still elevated, but not near as bad as Tuesday, so she had to wait a bit to see Dr. Harrington. He told her that she was doing fine, that the medication seems to be helping, and that she can return to work on Monday. However, if anything goes wrong at work, to just plain leave and give the doctor's office a call. What should have been a short and sweet office visit turned into an hour long process, but we relaxed with lunch at Fiesta Ranchera afterwards, which made it all better!

***And today only got better when Laura received a long awaited phone call offering her the job she had interviewed for quite awhile back!!! Yes, that's right, Laura is now the bank manager!!! Way to go, Laura!!!

And, finally, as can be expected, she has been sicker than a dog and experiencing the normal stretching/achy cramps that come with pregnancy.... Laura's quote: "I think it's a boy because it's already annoying the sh*t out of me, just like Josh does!"

Well, what did she expect, it's a Lohnes after all!!!

*Stay tuned...her next sonogram is April 12th.
