Today I asked Josh to pose with Laura & Shelby for a picture....he chose to make "the face" in all pictures. And because I can, I'm uploading this ugly picture of my brother!!

Welcome Shelby Samantha Lohnes!!!!!!

Well, she finally decided to show her pretty little face! Shelby was born today (8/29/07) at 7:34pm weighing in at 6lbs. 9.5oz. and 18.5 inches long.

Here are just a few of her brand spankin' new pictures. Will update again tomorrow (I desperately need some sleep right now!), as well as edit some pictures. I'll be at the hospital as soon as I can after work tomorrow for more pictures! Enjoy!! LEAVE COMMENTS FOR JOSH & LAURA!!!!

August 13 Update

Laura had another doctor appointment today (she's going twice weekly now). Dr. Harrington stated that he doesn't really want Laura to go over 37 weeks, so if she doesn't go before then, she'll be induced at 37 weeks (which is the last week of August!). This is mainly due to elevated blood pressure, among other things. However, he doesn't even expect her to make it through the next 2 weeks. So, expect to hear about Baby Lohnes' arrival any day now!

August 9 Update

Unfortunately the updates haven't been as often as planned... We missed scanning a few of her sonograms, so all of them won't be posted on here. However, I have the latest sonograms as of August 9th.

Earlier in the week Laura and Grandma (Geri) went to Pekin Hospital to pre-register and tour the maternity floor....one step closer!!

At this appointment (8/9), Laura was told that the baby weighs about 5 lbs. 2 oz. and looks healthy and normal size, if she goes to full term (unlikely) the baby will be at least 8 lbs. Laura also added that the baby has normal length legs (in other words, not a midget like it's momma!!). She was also told that if she goes into labor prior to 37 weeks, she will need to go to St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, rather than the Pekin Hospital.

Here's the sonograms (click on the pictures to enlarge):
