No new pictures to post just yet, but thought it was time for a little update....

Shelby has been out & about lately....Saturday night (9/15) was Josh's birthday, so of course Shelby had to help celebrate! Josh, Laura, Grandma, Grandpa and me (Kendra) went out to The North Side in Tremont for some burgers....Shelby slept through the whole thing (surprise, surprise!). Then Shelby spent the night with Grandma & Grandpa for the 2nd time while her mom & dad got some much needed sleep!

On Sunday Shelby spent the day with Aunt Kendra (me) and she even had a visitor for a few hours....her cousin Katelyn! That's just one of MANY visitors Shelby has had lately! What fun!

Shelby has been wide awake and looking around at the world lately (or trying to at least). She's started babbling and loves to smile! She also makes LOTS of crazy faces...the Elvis look being her most popular. Hopefully I'll get lucky enough to catch "Elvis" in a picture, it will make you all smile!

She's also pretty fiesty (sounds like her mommy to me!) she hates sleeping on her back, as suggested by her doctor, and instead will swing her legs around so that she ends up on her side where she falls asleep almost instantly! She's pretty darn strong too, when you hold her up against your shoulder (think burping position) she's quick to pull her head back and make one of her famous wild faces....you gotta hold on tight to that girl!!!!

Shelby already loves bath time....it's the easiest way to really calm her down...so Josh & Laura have already started a "bed time" routine where Shelby gets a bath before going down for the night. It seems to help her sleep. She loves to have her hair washed!!!! Sorry Laura, but it sounds to me like you've got yourself a "girly girl" already!!!!!! Just wait until I teach her how to power SHOP!!! :-)

Last night (9/17) was a LANDMARK for Shelby and her daddy. Little Miss Shelby GIGGLED for the 1st time and then held a smile for quite awhile after that!!!! Her daddy LOVED it!!!! Was she laughing at the crazy face that her daddy was making, or the fact that he was actually talking baby talk to her?! We'll never know..... :-)
